LANCASTER - John H. Creighton III, 90, of Lancaster, MA, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on February 21, 2026. Born in Abington, PA, "Jack," to all who knew him, was kindhearted, friendly and always had a cheerful smile. Jack was well known and respected in his hometown community of Lancaster, MA where he lived most of his life since 1955, when he came to South Lancaster to attend Atlantic Union College.

Jack and his first wife and mother of his children, Charlotte Elizabeth Creighton, owned and operated Creighton Floor Covering, Contempo Interiors and College Town Inn, a country Bed and Breakfast, until Charlotte's passing on February 04, 2019.

After Charlotte's passing, Jack, who had been very happy with married life, married Kay Lee Bloom of Lancaster in 2022. They enjoyed four cherished years together.

Jack was a long-time member of the College Seventh-day Adventist Church, holding the office of Deacon for many years. His faith was a very important part of his life, giving him strength when he unexpectedly lost his youngest son, David K. Creighton, on December 28, 2017 in a work-related accident.

Jack was active in community service organizations as a member of Lions Club and also a Rotarian for many years, including serving as President for one year.

Jack is survived by his wife, Kay Bloom; sons, John (Rick) H. Creighton IV (Lindy) and family of Australia, Daniel Creighton (Claribel) of So. Lancaster, MA, Dan-Dee Leagjeld (Donna) of Minnesota; his widowed daughter-in-law, Brenda Creighton of NH and stepchildren Elizabeth Curtis, Kathleen Christoph (Peter) and Tom Bloom (Rondi).

He is also survived by several grandchildren, Daron Creighton, Kelsey Marriott, Mikayla Golden, (Zachary), Abner Marte, Laisha Marte, Jair Ynfante, Connor Leagjeld, Nicole Siiter (Ross), and great-grandchildren, Kenzie Plourde, Bruce Golden and Octavia O'Connor, as well as eight step grandchildren and five step great-grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and many friends.

SERVICE: A memorial service will be held at the College Seventh-day Adventist Church, 337 Main Street, South Lancaster, MA on April 26, 2026, at 11 am, with a reception to follow.

Jack was loved by family and friends and is and will continue to be greatly missed until the great resurrection day when he and his loved ones are reunited when Jesus calls him from the grave!
