John Earl Crimmins- BELOVED HUSBAND, FATHER, GRANDFATHER, BROTHER, UNCLE AND FRIEND TO MANY

John Earl Crimmins, of Taylor, MI and formerly of Port Huron, MI, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026, after a brief illness.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Jacqueline Crimmins, and his sister, Anne.

He is survived by his wife, Lynda Crimmins, his son, Sean Crimmins (USAF), daughter, Rachel McNulty (Ian), step-son, Nathan Richardson, siblings, Terri Tomak (Joseph), Susan Devon (John), Patrick Crimmins (Maureen Heary), Phyllis Soulliere (Leo), Paul Crimmins (Patti), Eric Crimmins (Brian Gardner), brother-in-law, David Grassi, 5 grandchildren, plus one on the way, and 1 great-grandchild. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, dear friends, and his cats, Loki and Freya.

John was a veteran of the US Army, serving as a Military Policeman in Germany, from 1978-1981.

As a recovering addict and former case manager at Emmanuel House Veterans Recovery Center, John's passion was helping addicts still suffering to get their lives back together and find recovery in the 12 Steps.

He loved music and singing. In his youth, John served as a high-tenor cantor and member of The Choirs of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Port Huron. He was also a former singer and actor with Port Huron Little Theater. A talented chef, John found joy in cooking, as well as birdwatching.

Celebration of Life Wednesday, March 11, 1-3PM with Memorial Service & Military Honors at 3PM, officiated by Rev. Timothy Thompson, at A.J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Home (Vasu, Rodgers and Connell Chapel), 32515 Woodward Ave., Royal Oak, MI 48073.
