John Cross Jr. was born on March 29, 1949 to John Sr. and Mary Cross in Jackson, NC. He departed this life in Newark, NJ at Beth Israel Hospital after a short illness on August 15, 2014. John was recently retired. *Jack Eye*, as John was known by family and friends, was well liked by everyone he encountered in life. He touched many people and always made friends wherever he went. John was preceded in death by his father, John Cross, Sr. John leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Alice Mae Cross; one son, Aaron Allen (Lavern); two daughters, Tracy Bullock (Robert) and Rhonda Taylor (Phillip); three brothers, William Cross (Roberta), Larry Cross (Wendy) and Paul Cross; two sisters, Maryam Beyah (Muhammad) and Alice Diane Cross; and aunt, Mable Jerman; twelve grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
