John Crump Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Forest Hills Funeral Homes - Palm City Chapel on Jan. 16, 2026.
John E. Crump was born on May 14, 1957, in Waterbury, Connecticut, to the late Gloria and James Parker. He later settled in Florida where he built a beautiful life defined by connection, laughter, and love.

At his heart, John was a genuinely kind and caring man who put others at ease. Friends and family often turned to him not only for his thoughtful advice, but for the calm, steady presence he offered so freely. To know John was to feel truly heard.

He found joy in life's quieter pleasures: relaxing on the patio, floating peacefully in the pool, cooking meals meant to be shared, and spending unhurried time with family and friends. Music was always part of his world, setting the rhythm of a life well lived. He loved jazz, good conversation, and had a natural gift for storytelling that could hold your attention for hours. John's sincere, uplifting smile and laughter were a gift and will be remembered by all who knew him.

Among the moments he held most dear were getting married and buying a home. Milestones that reflected how deeply he valued partnership, stability, and belonging. For John, home was never just a place, but something he created for others. He was deeply loved and will be missed by his large family and all who were fortunate enough to share time with him.

John's legacy lives on in the laughter he shared, the kindness he gave so freely, and the many lives he touched simply by being himself.

A Celebration of Life will be held in May, on John's birthday, to honor his life and the joy he brought into the world.
