I was deeply saddened to hear of John´s passing.

John was my boss for many years at SunLife, and I remain so appreciative of the support he gave to my career growth. He spent time teaching and mentoring me, and his forward-thinking approach made such a difference in my life-especially when I became a mother, allowing me flexibility and even creating a new position that fit my needs.

Paul and I have very fond memories of the wonderful gatherings hosted by John and Connie. He was always so proud of his children, and it was clear how much family meant to him.

John´s kindness, humor, vision, and generosity will be remembered with gratitude and affection.

Sending our sincere condolences to Connie, Melissa, Darlene, Andrew and families. We know he will be greatly missed.

I´ll always remember John for taking a chance on me who wanted to be a programmer and not having all the educational credits required at the time. He was a great teacher and his mentorship was invaluable. Not only that, he was a friend to me and Dave. Loved his laugh and sense of humor. I have so many fond memories of him, I´ll never forget!

So sad to hear of John's passing. I first met John at Sun Life in Montreal back in the late sixties. I was a 'rookie', and he was already well established. While John headed to Wellesley with Sun Life in '73, I continued on in the Canadian operation until 1988 when I too found myself working in Wellesley with John. John's sense of humor and infectious laughter did make him a lot of fun to be around. He was also very thoughtful. My wife Nancy will always remember receiving a card from John for many years on her birthday.

Condolences to Connie and all his family.
