John D'Amico Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Quinn Funeral Home., Inc. - Erie from Jun. 30 to Jul. 1, 2022.
John Joseph D'Amico, Jr.., 77, of Erie, PA, passed away on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 after a short battle with cancer.

John, a lifetime resident of Erie, was born to the late John Joseph D'Amico and Rose Cantoni D'Amico on February 27, 1945. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Sherry Wagner D'Amico.

John worked at GE for almost 40 years. On any given day, you could find John bowling, playing bocce or ping pong, watching the Cleveland Browns, or feeding the birds and squirrels in his backyard. Easy to find in a crowd with his favorite bright yellow jacket, John loved dancing to the oldies and traveling with his wife.

John was an active member of the St. Joseph Church/Bread of Life Community, where he volunteered with the food pantry and as a church greeter.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his son John D'Amico (Jacque), daughter Kirsten Bagley (Dane), daughter Emily Orlando (Joe), son Matthew D'Amico (Becky), eight grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his two brothers, Michael and Alfred D'Amico; a son, Mark D'Amico; and a grandson, Brandon Bagley.

He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

Friends are invited to call at the Quinn Funeral Home, West 9th & Liberty St. on Friday, July 1, 2022 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM and are invited to attend a Funeral Mass Saturday at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph Church/Bread of Life Community, 147 W.24th St. Private burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery.
