John Davis Obituary
He was born in Ware County to the late James Manning "Bud" Davis and Fannie Missouri Douglas Davis. He married the late Jeanette Wilson Davis in 1964. He retired from General Housing where he worked as a production manager and attended Hephzibah Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is also preceded in death by six siblings, Levo Davis Steedley, Floyd Davis, Wilmer Davis, Gehu Davis, Evelyn Davis Steverson, and Carrie Davis O'Berry.
He is survived by a daughter, Nicole Sweat (Rob) of Blackshear, GA; two sons, John W. Davis and Manning Davis (Danielle) both of Blackshear, GA; four grandchildren, Logan Carrin (Laycee), Jameson Davis, Parker Mizell, and Rhett White; two great grandchildren, Whitt Carrin and Illa Kate Carrin; two sisters, Laila Jones of Brunswick, GA and Judy Deen of White Oak, GA; two brothers, Ronnie Davis of Waycross, GA and Rev. Clayton Davis of Millwood, GA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Monday (June 5, 2023) at Indian Mound Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Sunday evening from 5-7:00 PM at Indian Mound Baptist Church.
