John Arthur Davis, a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on January 25, 2025, in Bridgeport, Connecticut. born June 15, 1960, in queens, New York, John lived a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to his family. He was predeceased by his parents, Lottie Ree Barnett and Matthew Davis, and siblings Sharon, Latonya, Matthew jr., and Leroy.
John graduated from Benjamin N. Cardozo high school in Queens, New York, shortly after he relocated to Bridgeport, Connecticut. He dedicated twenty-five years of his life to patient care at Bridgeport hospital, a testament to his compassionate and caring nature. John was a devoted family man who cherished his loved ones deeply. john is survived by his sisters Delma, Diane, and Kathy; and his brother Carvin.
Although he had no children of his own, he showered his numerous nieces and nephews- Jason, Ebony, Nicole, Shamika, Moria, Latonya, Christopher, Alaura, Jonathan, Ronald, Leola, Rashell, Shaneehsa, Shawna, Samuel, Tenisia, Georgiana, and Turnisia- with unconditional love, treating them as his own. He leaves behind a legacy of love that extends to his twenty-plus great nieces and nephews, and twenty-plus great-great nieces and nephews.
John is also survived by Valerie and Angela, who were both sufficient parts of life. john was a lifelong fan of the New York Mets and, more recently, the New York Jets. He had a passion for electrical gadgets, video games, and had a special place in his heart for his Jaguar Xj.
His warmth, generosity, and unwavering support will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of countless family members and friends.
Friends may greet the family on February 7, 2025 from 1:00PM to 3:00PM.A service will be held in his honor at Community Funeral Chapels located at 798 Park Ave. Bridgeport, CT 06604. Share a special memory or light a virtual candle at communityfuneralchapels.com
