John Davis Obituary
family and friends. John is survived by his wife Hope King Davis, his daughter Josie (Jirias)
Charabati, and his brother Kevin Davis.
He attended Dover High School and graduated in the class of 1982. John was skilled
and passionate about his work as a carpenter, and was a partner in K&J Construction for 35 years
before needing to retire due to long-term covid complications.
When not working, John loved spending time with family, loved ones, and the animals in his life.
John particularly enjoyed riding and working on his Harley Davidson. He loved the beach and
enjoyed his time at Short Sands in York, Maine during the summers. John loved classic rock
music at live concerts and on the radio. Tough, funny, gentle, and kind are some of John's
wonderful traits that will be missed by all who knew him.
A celebration of life will be held in summer 2026 with details to follow.

I'm so sorry to hear about John's passing. He was a joy to talk to while I helped him with his banking at NECU back in the day LOL.

To Hope, Josie and Kevin and all of John´s family- I am holding you all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. John was such a talented builder and such a bright light who always would make me laugh. I can still hear his laugh:-) I am so grateful that I knew him. He loved you all so much and always told such great stories of his love and pride. The depth of your grief equals the depth of the love you shared with him and fortunately that deep abiding love never dies. He lives on in you Josie.
