As a past member of the Alamo Camp, Sons of Confederate Veterans, may I offer my sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of Compatriot Dibrell. May the Lord extend to you all an extra measure of His peace, comfort and strength during this difficult time. May the sentiments of loved ones and friends and God's promises comfort you all in the days ahead. I know Compatriot Dibrell is now "resting under the shade of the trees" with the men in gray he loved so well. He surely will be missed in our organization.
With deepest sympathy,
Clayton Perry

My thoughts and prayers go out for John's family. I really enjoyed sitting with John at the Aggie luncheons every Monday at Aggie Park. He always had stories about his years at A&M and his time during his service in the Air Force. He will be missed!!

My dearest (Great) Uncle Johnny, you are an angel in Heaven with Granddaddy and Aunt Polly now. Your amazing smile, laugh, kindness, generosity and love of family will be missed by all, but I know that I'll see you again and I will carry you in my heart until that time comes! I love you very much!!!

I met John while we were employees at IBM. He was a dedicated employee but more than that I knew him to be a very kind and gentle natured person, a fun loving spirit and always a pleasure to be in his company. My heart and my prayers go out to his family.

John was a colleague and friend. He was a great lover of people. His ability to learn and recall names(particularly children's names) was legendary. He once joined me at a Chamber of Commerce Luncheon. John knew practically every person in the room perhaps 300. Lots of funny stories from this old Aggie.

I only knew John for the few short years that we both worked at IBM, but I always perceived him as a caring and giving individual.

I first met John in 1963, and worked with him at IBM. He was always very pleasant, helpful, and a true gentleman.
