John B. Dise

John B Dise was born on February 1,1929, and passed away on June 29, 2024, the day of his 72 wedding anniversary. He was born in Mallet, LA and was the last surviving member from a family of 11 children.
He moved to Lake Charles, LA where he worked as a truck driver for a piping company. It was there that he met and married Elaine Richard and had seven children. They moved to Springfield, MA in 1964 after visiting his sister-in law and gaining employment at Springfield Foundry. He later worked at
Mercy Hospital in the engineering department. After retiring, John and Elaine returned to Lake Charles, LA for 1O years where they enjoyed bingo and going to zydeco dances.
When they later returned to Springfield, MA., John loved playing poker and going to the casino. Especially Foxwoods.
John is predeceased by his daughter Patsy Dise and granddaughters Melissa and Meghan Dise.
Left to mourn his loss is his wife of 72 years Elaine Dise, daughters Dianne Angus and her husband Tony, Barbara Dise, and Susan Dise all of Springfield, MA., Melanie Victorian and her husband Larry of Lake Charles, LA., sons David Dise and his wife Karina of Monson, MA, Michael Dise and his wife Carmen of Florida, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
