John "Blackie" T. Domenico, of Peabody, formerly of East Boston, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.
Beloved husband of Rosa (Veneziano) Domenico.
Devoted father of Karen Towski and her husband Joseph of Saugus, Thomas Domenico and his wife Jane of Saugus, and Steven Domenico of Peabody.
Cherished brother of Irene Clague of Brockton and the late Julia, Florence, Josephine, and Marie.
Proud and loving grandfather of Jake, Alexa, Gina, Marissa, Emma, and Richard.
John was a dedicated and longtime member of Painters Union DC 35. He was also an active member of the Orient Heights Civic Club and the VFW, reflecting his deep roots in community and service. A proud United States Navy veteran, John exemplified loyalty, hard work, and an unwavering commitment to those around him.
Family and friends will honor John's life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, East Boston, on Thursday, December 4th from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a prayer service at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Services will conclude with John being laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden, with military honors in recognition of his faithful service to his country. Dear Domenico family,
Simply stated, Johnny was an unforgettable man. Even if you were the brunt of his jokes-always delivered with a mischievous twinkle in his eye- you knew he cared. Thanks for the lifetime memories Johnny - rest in peace, Eileen Thompson.
