John Patrick Doran

John Patrick "Jack" Doran Beloved Husband, Father, Papa, and Brother Jack entered into eternal rest on May 3rd, 2013, surrounded by his loving family. Jack is the beloved husband of Edna M. Doran (Belliveau) and father of Katie Walton and her husband John, of Nahant, Mary Foster and her husband John, of Lynn, Eileen Simons and her husband Gary, of Nahant, and John Doran Jr. and his wife Tami, of Amherst, NH. Jack was also the grandfather of Kelly Walton, Casey Walton, Amy Simons, and Jessica Simons, all of Nahant, Katie Doran, Megan Doran, and Mike Doran, of Amherst, NH, John Foster, of Lynn, and David Foster and his fiancé Catherine Sowa and their son David Foster Jr., of Boston. Jack also leaves his treasured siblings Robert Doran, of Nahant and Ruth McDonald, of Nahant, sisters-in-law Lorraine Naples, of Wolfboro, NH, and Cecelia Belliveau, of Florida, brother-in-law and wife Beverly and Paul Belliveau, of Nahant. Jack also leaves behind many devoted nieces and nephews. Jack was predeceased by his parents, Jeremiah and Consuelo (DeLippmann) Doran, sisters and their husbands Florence and Leonard Kelly, of Danvers, Marie and William Place, of Connecticut, Consuelo and Orlando Fanti, of Lynn, his brothers and their wives Col. Gerald and Madeline Doran, of Nahant and Sgt. Joseph and Anne Doran, of Nahant. Jack was born on March 16, 1928 on Bass Point Road in Nahant. He lived in Nahant all of his life and was considered to be a true Townie. He graduated from Lynn English High School in 1945 and graduated from Northeastern University in 1958. He proudly served our country during the Korean Conflict and was a retired air traffic controller. Jack was a charter member of the Nahant Knights of Columbus and a member of the Mortimer G. Robbins American Legion Post in Nahant. Jack was an avid reader and swimmer and enjoyed spending time with his family in Maine and Nahant. He spent his winters in Hobe Sound, Florida, where he leaves behind many close friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Jack's Funeral will be held on Wednesday at 9am from the SOLIMINE LANDERGAN AND RICHARDSON FUNERAL HOME 67 OCEAN ST. (RTE1A), LYNN, followed by a Funeral Mass at 10am in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Nahant. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
