John Calvin Drake, Jr., transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on Tuesday, October 24, 2023.
John Calvin Drake Jr, lovingly known as “Lil John” was born to John Calvin Drake Sr. and Valeria Ann English. He was born in Nashville TN on August 19, 1985. He departed this life on October 24, 2023.
Starting out, he was a happy baby. He grew to become independent, a loving and caring person with so much ambition in what we like to call a “go getter”. His favorite thing to do was being involved in sports. He loved sports. He participated in football, basketball, baseball and ran track. He also had a passion for golf, he went so far he got to travel to Kansas and played with Tiger Woods.
He attended Metro public schools for his early life education and went on to attend Glencliff High school. He loved all of his kids dearly, his family and his friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Gloria Patton, Fannie Drake, Ronald Norfleet Sr., and John Joseph Drake “Papa”.
He leaves his most beautiful and cherished memories to his mother, Valeria Ann English (East), father, John Calvin Drake Sr.; great grandmother, Fannie M. Jobe; five children, Robert E. Bomas, Nayliana A. Taylor, Juvante’ C. Adams, and Hunter Bomas and Ryker Bomas; three siblings, LouQuetta Drake, Jasmine Drake, and Bria Drake; auntie/ mother figure, Sheila Washington; great aunt, Wanda Jobe (who was a great influence and a big part of his life) and Mildred Drake; two cousins that were more like brothers to him, Serzio Raines and DeAnezelio Washington; girlfriend, Euletha Shelton and a host of aunties and cousins, and a world of many friends.
