John Durham Obituary
John Everette Durham, age 82 of Boones Mill, went to be with the Lord Friday, July 28, 2023. He was born September 29, 1940 to the late George and Myrtle Durham. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers Coy, Paul and Dan Durham; and a sister Gladys Turman. Mr. Durham enjoyed the outdoors and loved working with wood. He retired from Cooper Wood Products after working there 43 years.
Surviving are his loving wife of 63 years Betty Hartman Durham; daughter Sharon Wardlow and son-in-law, Jeff Wardlow; grandchildren, Traci Marx and Brett Masterson; great-grandchildren, Roman and Grayson Marx; his brother, Lloyd Durham; and his sister, Janet Poage.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Clearbrook Baptist Church, 5219 Singing Hills Rd., Roanoke, VA 24014.
Funeral services will be conducted from Conner-Bowman Funeral Chapel 2:00 P.M. Monday with Rev. Jim Steele officiating. Interment will follow in Mountain View Memorial Park. His family will be receiving friends from 5-7 p.m. Sunday at Conner-Bowman Funeral Home.
