FORT WORTH - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mike J. Dusak Sr., 77, who departed from us on Wednesday, May 8, 2024.
A beloved husband, father, father-in-law, and papaw, Mike's presence was a beacon of love and strength for his family and all who knew him.
Mike embarked on life's journey with his beloved Jerrie by his side, marrying her at the tender ages of 18 and 17 respectively. Together, they celebrated an extraordinary 59 years of marriage, a testament to their unwavering devotion and deep affection for each other.
Above all, Mike cherished his family. His proudest accomplishments were his enduring marriage, his children, and his grandchildren. He exemplified the values of hard work and dedication, setting a shining example for his family on how to navigate life's challenges with resilience and integrity.
When Mike entered a room, his physical presence commanded attention and respect. Mike was revered by many. He was deeply committed to providing security and stability for his wife and children, ensuring their well-being was always his top priority. He was a proud trade union member for 30+ years specializing in glass and metal craftmanship.
In his leisure time, Mike found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had an affinity for motorcycles, listening to blues and classic rock, and had an extensive collection of guns, knives and Camel lighters. His favorite place was Lake Texoma, where he loved camping with his young family every weekend, creating cherished memories that will last a lifetime.
Mike's legacy is one of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to those he held dear. Though he may have lived a simple life, his impact on the hearts of those around him was immeasurable.
While we mourn his passing, we take solace in knowing that his spirit will live on in the cherished memories and enduring love he leaves behind.
He will be deeply missed but forever remembered with love and fondness by his family and friends. May he rest in peace, knowing that his legacy of love will last for generations to come.
Mike is survived by his wife, Jerrie; his children Mike Jr, Randy, Scott and Sandy; his daughters-in-law, Melissa and Suzanne; son-in-law, Keith; and his grandchildren Jon, Tara, Ryan, Mica, Nicholas, Jacob, Brooke, Jerrin, Jakob and Bryan.
