John DuWors Obituary
passed away suddenly on February 4th.
Born on July 26th, 1960 to William DuWors Sr. and Jane(Faherty)DuWors. Born and raised in South Boston.
He was a graduate of Gate of Heaven School.
John was a retired Senior Custodian, Boston School Department 40+ years. He made many friends from his years in a variety of Boston Schools. During the many years at the Henderson School in Dorchester, he was more than his custodian role. He was more than just Mr. John the custodian. He helped the students with the Henderson Garden.
The children loved him. He had a way with them. He was always willing to go the extra mile for the students as well as his colleagues.
John was an avid golfer for most of his life.
He played weekly at Brookmeadows Golf Course for many years. He loved golf trips with his friends, Our Boston sports teams, going out to eat and playing Keno.
He is survived by his wife Jacquie(Pollard) DuWors of 39 years, daughter Jenifer McNeil of Texas, John (J.T.) DuWors Jr. of South Boston. His Grandchildren Damian &
Danica of Texas. Brothers Jimmy & Jody of South Boston and his nieces, nephews and friends.
He is predeceased by his parents, Bill & Jane, brother Billy and Father and Mother - in- laws, Tom & Helen Pollard.
Services will be held at Casper's Funeral Home, 187 Dorchester Street, South Boston on Sunday February 15th 2:00-5:00p.m. a Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 16th at Gate of Heaven Church at 10:00 in South Boston.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity of your choice.
