John Dyson Obituary
Jack graduated from Potomac Falls High School in 2019. He also attended the Academies of Loudoun for both the Administration of Justice program and the Environmental Plant Science/Biotechnology program. While attending Potomac Falls, he was president of the Aviation Club and the Model UN club and participated in the Thomas D. Horne Leadership in Law camp. At the time of his death he was a student at the University of Mary Washington as a Political Science major. At UMW he was president of the College Republicans and was very active in local and university political activities. Jack attended Cornerstone Chapel and had earned the Awana Citation award in 2019. He was very active in his church as an usher.
Jack will be sorely missed by his family and friends. He had a one of a kind personality, loved family and friends gatherings, always ready to debate any topic, and quick to lend a hand. He was a voracious reader, eloquent writer, piano player, and avid plane-spotter.
He is survived by his parents, John and Heather; brother Peter; his grandparents, John and Kathie Dyson and Sharon Oliveau; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and a wonderful circle of friends. Jack's light in this world will be missed and always fondly remembered in our hearts.
A service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 12, 2023 at Cornerstone Chapel, 650 Battlefield Pkwy SE, Leesburg, VA 20175.

Jack Dyson Memorial
I love you Jack, you will be missed dearly. I wasn't around you very much since Grandad and I live in California, but you were thought of often. You were a very smart and thoughtful young man, and always seemed to have something going on in your life. Your Mom, Dad and Peter will miss you so much as will so many other people whose life you touched. I know you are home with the Lord now, it was just too soon!

Here was the original obituary link, that was updated to include the request to send donations in Jack's name to the Lincoln Library (in Vermont) - he visited there and all around that area before he passed, and asked to have his ashes buried there.

Jack was one of my friends at UMW. I remember one night when I locked my keys in my car and he was so kind and called AAA for me and waited until 2 am when they showed up for me. He was one of the kindest souls I´ve ever met. He is so missed already.
