On May 14th, 2024, John Downs Everhart, Sr. passed away on his 92nd birthday after a brief illness. Born on May 14th, 1932 to the late Catherine Abreght and late George Brown Everhart, Sr. he was the loving father of John D. Everhart, Jr. and wife Donna; caring stepfather of the late Diane Stevens and Stephen Carbary; cherished Poppy of Deborah Compher and husband John, John D. Everhart, III and wife Ashley, Brandon Carbary, Katelyn Reinsfelder and husband Joe, Meghann Biggs and husband Scott, Brad Carbary and his fiancée Anna; loving great grandfather to McKenna, Nicholas, Alanna, Collin, Jackson, Matthew, and Harper. Also survived by many loving family members and friends. John was predeceased by his brother, the late George B. Everhart, Jr., and his former wife, the late Betty Lou Everhart.

A memorial gathering will be held at the family owned Ambrose Funeral Home, Inc., 1328 Sulphur Spring Rd., Arbutus on Thursday, May 23rd from 3 PM to 5 PM and from 7 PM to 9 PM.
