My wife and I knew John when we lived in E-town in the early to mid eighties. I knew him through the Lions Club, Watkins Memorial Methodist church and Hilliard Lyons. We did well by his guidance and missed being able to live closer to him since the mid eighties. He was a real leader and I have remembered him often and consider him a southern gentleman. Blessings to the family in this difficult time.
