John Farrell

As an only child, John grew up with his first cousins on his mother´s side. He was a brother to Tom and Bill Ward and Neal and Bobby Commerford. Here together with cousins Tom, Jeanne, Bill and Sally. Rest in peace, Johnny.

John and I laughed about every day while I taught at Garfield School for ten years!!! Good honest working man with a great outlook on life!!! Can´t really improve on his obituary with my own words!!! Talked to him to catch up before his illness!!! We were planning on meeting up somewhere in the near future!!! He will certainly be missed by all that new him!!!! Condolences to his large family!!! This wonderful man happened to my first ever gym teacher at Garfield elementary. My first ever memory of him engrained in my head was of him playing his bagpipe. As well as when me and one of my good friends had a falling out (childish debacle). Mr. Farrell was right there to help us see the error in our ways and allow us to continue our friendship. We have been friends for over 20 years and I would like to think it´s partly due to him. I wish him the most eternal peace. Not once has he ever left my mind and will go down as one of the best teachers I have ever had to shape my life in a most positive way.
