John R. "Jack" Fedor

Jack Fedor was born on March 3, 1942, on the South Side of Chicago to Gertrude and John H. Fedor as their firstborn child. He grew up alongside his beloved siblings, Sharon and Rick, and carried with him a deep love for family and faith throughout his life.

Jack graduated from Leo High School and continued his education at Wright Junior College. While working at Walgreens, fate stepped in when he met the love of his life, Dale. Their partnership began behind the counters of Walgreens and grew into a lifelong bond of love and laughter.

Jack was drafted into the U.S. Army and proudly served his country as a radio operator while stationed in Germany. Upon returning home, he and Dale were married on July 10, 1965, beginning their journey together as husband and wife. The newlyweds soon returned to Germany while Jack finished his active duty. When they returned to the states, they were soon expecting their first child, Sherrie. Their son John followed shortly after, and in 1973, the growing family settled in Lindenhurst, Illinois. Later, with the arrival of their youngest, Scott, their family was complete.

After an honorable discharge from the Army, Jack continued his long and dedicated career with Walgreens, serving the company faithfully for over 40 years. His commitment to hard work, integrity, and kindness earned him the respect of all who knew him.

Beyond his career, Jack's passions were many - his Catholic faith, fishing trips that brought him peace, spirited card games, and, of course, cheering on his beloved Chicago sports teams, even when they tested his loyalty.

Jack's greatest joy came from his family. He was a proud and devoted grandfather to Brad, Hannah, and Johnny, and an adoring "Papa" to Sarah. His love, laughter, and steady presence will forever remain in their hearts.

Jack will be remembered for his humor, humility, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. His life was one built on faith, family, and simple joys - a legacy that will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know him.

Beloved husband of 60 years to Dale, nee Hehn; loving father of Sherrie (Mark) Anderson, John (Marilyn) and Scott; cherished grandfather of Bradley Anderson, Hannah, John, and Sarah Fedor; dear brother of Sharon (Dave) Thompson and Richard (Marsha) Fedor; also, nieces and nephews.
