John Forgay Obituary

John A. Forgay

John A. Forgay, 84, of Costenbader Lane, Palmerton, Lower Towamensing Township, died early Sunday evening, Jan. 21, 2024, in The Gardens for Memory Care, Easton. He was the husband of Margaret M. (Willouer) Forgay since Oct. 8, 1960.

Born in Hazleton, Luzerne County, he was a son of the late John M. and Gertrude (Yaich) Forgay.

John was employed as a freight loader/forklift operator by Roadway Freight, Tannersville; PIE Co., Bath; Yellow Freight Co., New York; Ryder Co., Bath; and the ABF Corp., Allentown.

Previously, he worked as a delivery milkman for Rosenberger Dairy, Hatfield, and Farm and Home Fuel Oil Co., Souderton.

He was a 1957 graduate of North Penn High School, Lansdale, where he ran track and was an excellent athlete.

John enjoyed his flower and vegetable garden, hunting, walking/hiking, and fishing in Sciota or at Preachers Camp, Beltzville Lake State Park.

Surviving in addition to his widow are a daughter, Michelle K., wife of Paul Kuehner of Kunkletown; a son, J. Scott, and his wife, Patti, of Palmerton; four grandchildren, Carrie, Jayne, Joshua and Nicole; a sister, Janet Pagenkemper of Perkasie; and a nephew, Chad Pagenkemper.
