In Loving Memory Of

John Allen Franks

John Allen Franks was born on November 25, 1945 to Mary and John Franks. John had his first breath in Heaven on January 28, 2026.

He graduated from Mary Walker High School in 1964. In high school he played all of the sports and he was a very talented athlete.

He married Patti Meske in 1970 and had two children, Deanna and Curtis.

He was remarried to Dru Stallings in 2001. They had two children, John and Ruby and step-son Eric.

John loved to fish, hunt, golf, and cut firewood. He loved being outside.

He always left people smiling or laughing. One of his favorite phrases was "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." He absolutely lived that. He never failed to make people laugh. His goal was always to bring a smile to your face. He told the best jokes and the funniest stories. He was gifted with a great sense of humor. His stories, one liners, and jokes will live on with all who knew him. He will continue to make us laugh when we remember him.

His favorite joke was asking…"When geese fly in a V, why is one side always longer? After a pause and usually technical thinking from the person he was telling the joke to, he would say "Because there are more geese on that side!"

John was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, sisters, and granddaughter, Kristen. He is survived by his wife, Dru, and his children, Deanna, Curtis, Eric, John, Ruby, 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

This is not goodbye. This is until we meet again.

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Hiim shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16
