John Henry Gabbel Sr., a cherished family man, esteemed veteran, and beloved member of the Alliance and Ravenna communities, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2025, at the age of 85. Born in Alliance, Ohio, on August 24, 1939, to the late Henry and Elsie Gabbel (nee Charlton), John's life was marked by a profound commitment to his country, his loved ones, and the joy of exploration.
John's formative years in Alliance laid the foundation for a life of service and adventure.
