John Gill Obituary
JOHN WAS AFFECTIONATELY KNOWN AS JOHNNY TO MOST, MAGOO TO HIS FRIENDS, ROTTEN TO SOME, AND LOVINGLY CALLED POPS AND PAPA BY HIS FAMILY. HE WAS A FREE SPIRIT AT HEART, LAID BACK, KIND. HAPPIEST WHEN HE HAD A FISHING POLE IN HIS HAND, A PROJECT TO BUILD, OR WAS SIMPLY ENJOYING LIFE AT HIS OWN PACE. HE HAD A CREATIVE MIND, A LOVE FOR THE OUTDOORS, AND A CALM PRESENCE THAT MADE PEOPLE FEEL AT EASE. JOHN BELIEVED IN LIVING SIMPLY, ENJOYING THE MOMENT, AND LETTING LIFE UNFOLD AS IT MAY.
JOHN WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HIS BROTHER, JIMMY GILL. HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS LOVING PARENTS, JOY AND JAMES GILL; HIS SIBLINGS JONIE NALLEY, JAMIE ROSS, AND JACK GILL; HIS SONS JOSH GILL (ADY PEREZ) AND JESSE JAMES (CALIN JAMES); AND HIS CHERISHED GRANDCHILDREN, JACE GILL AND SHAE HESS. HE IS ALSO SURVIVED BY MANY NIECES AND NEPHEWS WHO WILL MISS HIM DEARLY
THOSE WHO KNEW JOHN KNEW HIS HEART WAS GOOD, HIS SPIRIT WAS GENTLE, AND HIS SOUL WAS UNMISTAKABLY HIS OWN. WHILE HE WASN'T ONE FOR FORMALITY, HE BELIEVED IN SOMETHING BIGGER THAN HIMSELF AND TRUSTED THAT WHEREVER LIFE TAKES US NEXT, THERE'S PEACE WAITING ON THE OTHER SIDE.

We send our sincerest condolences on the untimely loss of Johnny. I have known him since he was a young boy, then he married my cousin and we became family. He always had a smile every time I saw him. My heart and prayers go out to his family and loved ones. He will truly be missed.
