John Glab

John Glab, 54, of Braintree, passed away unexpectedly on May 26, 2021. Johnny was born in Worcester, to Janusz and Regina Glab (Mackiewicz) in 1966. He lost his father at age 4 and mother at age 8. Richard and Halina Wroblewski had temporary guardianship, until Johnny moved to Braintree, at age 10, when Maria and Frank Hynes assumed legal guardianship. He attended St. Francis of Assisi Grade School and Blue Hills Vocational High school. John became a talented electrical contractor and acquired his builder's license, real estate license and established his own business. Johnny had a huge heart, enjoyed life to its fullest and made a lasting impression on anyone who knew him. He had a passion for cars, boating, golfing, travel and his dachshunds, Oscar and Axel. He was a caring, sensitive, thoughtful and generous person who would lend a hand to anyone who needed it. He was a giver by nature and always gave generous and thoughtful gifts. His warm smile, jolly chuckle and quirky sense of humor will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by his 3 sisters, Maria Hynes of Braintree and Paul Gill and late husband Frank Hynes of Braintree; Teresa Nawrotek of Onset and late fiance Ed Payton and late husband Reza Alavian; and Dr. Barbara Davies and husband Dr. Michael Davies of Wellesley; his aunt, Helen Kozakiewicz of Worcester; his eight nieces and nephews, David, Shawn and wife Jessica, Bonnie, Dennis and wife Sharon Hynes, Dr. Christina Alavian (Brooks) and husband Dr. Jeffrey Brooks, Dr. Michael Alavian and wife Atty. Julie Alavian, and Madison and Brooke Davies. Th family's hearts are grieving at the passing of Johnny. May God hold him in the palm of his hand until they see him again. Visiting hours will be on Sunday, June 6, from 4-8 pm at Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington St., in Braintree. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday at St. Francis of Assisi at 10:30 am in Braintree.
