John V Goelzer, a cherished brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 9, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on August 14, 1953, John's life was marked by his loving and thoughtful nature, which touched the lives of all who knew him.
John was a dedicated mechanical engineer, a profession that reflected his meticulous and inventive spirit. Beyond his professional endeavors, John had a profound love for animals. His creativity and kindness were evident in the intricate maze he constructed for squirrels and the six cats he rescued. John's compassionate heart led him to build cages for these cats, ensuring they had a safe and loving home. His actions were a testament to his generous and caring personality.
John is survived by his sisters, Kathlene Foster and her husband Charles, Janice Buckhalter; his nieces and nephews, Rebecca Gunville (Michael) and Nathan Foster, (Ericka), Mark, Michael, and Stacey Buckhalter. He is preceded in death by his parents Buck Vernon and Geneve Goelzer. Each family member will fondly remember John for the joy and warmth he brought into their lives.
