John B. Graham, a figure of warmth and humor, departed this life on March 2, 2026, at his home, encircled by the love of his family. Born in Sterling, Illinois, on August 21, 1955, John was a man whose laughter could light up a room, renowned for his dry wit and a penchant for practical jokes that endeared him to all who crossed his path. His career flourished as he passionately commanded his own business, Otto Electric, where his meticulous nature and commitment to excellence were evident in every project he undertook.

Growing up on the farm in Illinois, John and his brother Jimmy cultivated an unbreakable bond. They were each other’s best friends and spoke many times a week. John did tease Jimmy a lot, but the love they had was notable.

John’s journey through life was marked by unwavering love for his family and friends, many of whom he cherished as if they were his own kin. He married his beloved Jodi on January 21, 1984, who stood by his side not only in life but also as they were sealed for time and eternity the following year in the Ogden Temple. Together, they built a nurturing home that fostered laughter and love, serving as a foundation for their three children: Johnathan, Justin (alongside his wife Katie), and Janell (with her husband Kevin). John was particularly proud to be a grandfather to his seven adoring grandchildren—Logan, Avery, Kaylee, Marlee, Ridge, Harper, Kohen—who were ever the light of his life, as he cheered them on at every game and event with unwavering enthusiasm.

In addition to the joys of family life, John's heart belonged to his surroundings. A true animal lover, he found solace in the company of dogs and horses and relished the serenity of the great outdoors. Whether it was a camping trip to Star Valley or an adventurous day of four-wheeling, John reveled in the natural beauty that enveloped him, often choosing to reflect on life while sitting on a rock, absorbing the world around him.

Education was also a significant aspect of John’s life as he earned his journeyman’s license, a testament to his hard work and dedication to his craft. His industrious spirit extended beyond the professional realm; after serving four years in the Army as an armor crewman stationed in Germany, he returned with skills that allowed him to tackle challenges head-on. He was renowned for his ability to fix anything, and his inventive ideas brought originality to family projects, illustrating a mind that never ceased to inspire.

Though he carried the legacy of James and Catherine, his loving parents, the imprint of his life is captured through the laughter he shared, the love he cultivated, and the memories he created with those around him. As we remember John today, let us celebrate a man whose spirit soared through his humor, whose dedication to family was profound, and whose love for life was evident in all he did. He may have departed from this earthly realm, yet his legacy remains—forever etched in our hearts.

John is survived by his wife, children, and grandchildren; his brother, Jimmy (Betty); and many lifelong friends.

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Lindquist’s Syracuse Mortuary. 869 South 2000 West, Syracuse UT. Friends may visit with family prior to service from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the mortuary.

Interment will be held at later date.
