Dr. John Lawrence Green

We were sorry to hear of John's passing. I worked with Dr. Green when he first came to Jacksonville at Southside Animal Clinic and learned so much from him. Later played lots of racquetball at the beach. Took our pets to him over the years. He was one of a kind

Dr Green cared for all our animals since 1989. Jane, Anna, Max, Bear, Thor, Tammy Belle, Mike, Missy, Tink and a few more service training dogs I can´t remember their names, thank you for your kind service.

I've known John and his Akron family for 50 years. Once he moved to Florida, John visited us and stayed in our home. He had an uncanny sense of humor (like his dad). He will be remembered by the Lujan family with fond memories. May he rest in peace.

I will always remember how Dr John took such care of my pets over the years until he retired. From my smallest kitten until having to say goodbye to one of my oldest cats He helped take care of lots of my rescued kitties I know in his heart he loved all animals.

Dr Green was an excellent Vet that took care of my five Golden Retrievers and six cats over 43 years. My Golden Brandy was 10 years old and came thru the doggie dog and collapsed. I called him at 4:00am in September 1991 and he met me at his office. He gave her an injection in my car to relax her since she was in so much pain. I had to go to work to get lesson plans for a substitute and Dr Green said I am staying here and I will X-ray her and call you. I was back home by 8 and he called me and said she was paralyzed and he was so sorry. I went to his office and sat with with her as her eyes, brain and heart were all working, but I had to let her go. He knew her sister Rosie would really miss her and he said he was so sorry. Rosie lived to be 16 and stopped eating and I knew it was time for her to join her sister.
He was always so compassionate and kind when they all had to cross the Rainbow Bridge. I have missed him since he retired and may he RIP.

I would not be half the veterinarian I am today without learning from Dr. Green. He will be greatly missed by so many. A Great man lost way too soon.

RIP John thanx for being there for my dogs over the years. They always felt safe in your office.

Dr. Green was a phenomenal veterinarian and kind man. One of a kind. I´m honored to have worked for you and alongside you as your vet tech. Dr. Green, countless lives (furry & human) you touched!!! You are deeply missed. You were so humble of your talents and I remember making you take this picture! What a great picture it is. I will never forget your chuckle. Rest your soul and God Bless the surviving family.

Doggy was a kind soul and a funny man. So gentle when taking care of all his pets. He treated each one as if his own. My condolences to his family.

Melanie, I am so sorry for your loss. John sounds like a wonderful man. I am glad you found each other.
