Kathy, Kori and Nat

We are so sorry for your loss and hope that your memories of John in happier times will sustain you in the days ahead.

We recall when Kathy and John moved to the Kansas City area to begin his career with the KBI. John immersed himself in a number of white-collar crime cases and was meticulous in his work ethic. He was a dependable partner whenever his fellow agents needed an extra hand.

There was no doubt that John would serve well as the Special Agent in Charge of the Wichita Field Office and later when he accepted a leadership position with the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office. His time at the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center was a positive influence on so many trainees.

John was a good friend and will be missed.

I met John for the first time during a shared investigation with the KBI. We stayed in touch during his time as Under Sheriff and later we worked at KLETC during the same time frame. I never met a finer individual or professional in my law enforcement career. He was a good man and a good friend. John will be missed by many. I offer my prayers and most sincere condolences to John's family.
