John Gres

John Gres, 82, of Hamilton, passed away Saturday in Atlantic City. Born and raised in Chlebowice, Poland, Mr. Gres was a resident of the Trenton/Hamilton area for 62 years and a member of Holy Cross RC Church in Trenton. He was a survivor of the Polish Holocaust and a member of the Polish Armed Services. He founded Gres Paving of Trenton in 1952 and retired from General Motors in 1972. Brother of the late John Grzeszczynszyn, he is survived by his wife of 50 years, Anna Przygrodzki Gres; his daughter and son-in-law, Rose and Ralph Mastrangelo of Yardville; his son, John Gres, Jr. of Hamilton; three grandchildren, Crystal, Joseph and John of Yardville; two sisters, Anna Starzewska and Marija Antoniszyn, both of Poland; a brother, Michael Grzeszczynszyn of Russia; and several nieces and nephews in Poland. The funeral will begin 10am Thursday at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11am at St. Raphael Church, 3500 South Broad St, Hamilton, NJ. Interment will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton, NJ. Family and friends may call 5-9pm Wednesday at the Colonial Home. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice
