John "Jack" Andrew Haggerty, age 74, of The Villages, Florida, passed away on November 16, 2025. Jack was born on January 4th in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and spent his early years in Freeport, PA. After Freeport, he studied Food Science at Penn State University, then lived in Chicago, IL, where he met his wife, Mary Beth, and later moved to Fort Wayne, IN, and Exton, PA, before retiring to The Villages (Village of LaBelle).

Jack was known for his ingenuity, love of cooking, sense of humor, loyalty to his sports teams, and devotion to his family and friends. A dedicated Food Scientist, he held a patent and made lasting contributions to his field. He loved cooking, especially ribs, and sharing meals with family and friends. He was a proud Penn State graduate and an enthusiastic Nittany Lion and Philadelphia Eagles fan. In retirement, Jack embraced life in The Villages, where he enjoyed golfing and spending time with friends and neighbors in LaBelle.

Jack is survived by his wife, Mary Beth Haggerty (Lemna) of The Villages, and children Christopher Haggerty and Erin Haggerty, as well as two sisters, M. Diane Rutkoski (Victor) of Cleveland and Marjorie A. Wentz (Joseph) of Winfield, Ill. Jack was a beloved brother-in-law and uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul L. Haggerty and Olga Haggerty (Vanitsky).
