John and Mary were lifelong friends of my parents. And I worked for John at Auburn House Publishing. I considered him a great boss and mentor. He frequently said goodbye quoting St. Thomas More. "Pray for me and I for you that we shall meet in Heaven". And so I say those words in my mind and heart as I say goodbye to John.
