John Helzer Obituary
John Earl Helzer, 76, went to be with his Lord in Heaven April 11 2025. He was born on October 6th, 1948, in Hardin Mt, to Adam Helzer and Alma Abby Lapp.
He was a proud resident of Hardin and was a 1966 graduate of Hardin High School.
He did not Marry. He went to Montana State University and Graduated 1970 with a Bachelor of Music Education. From 1971 to 1972 he was in the army and served in Okinawa, then he moved to Helena Mt and joined the national Guard 1972 and retired in 1994. He worked for the State of Montana for 30 years Retiring in 1994.
John had a Love of aviation and was able to earn his private pilots License and flew Cessna 150,172,182 all over Montana especially Hardin to visit his mom and Family. He enjoyed Singing with the Helena Chamber Singers, And Faithfully attending Calvary Chapel Helena and served in the music ministry playing guitar, singing and playing piano. John always had the ability to make anyone smile.
John is preceded in Death by his parents Adam Helzer and Alma Kehler, Sister Joyce Pattyn, Brother Raymond Helzer.
John is survived by Niece's Carletta (Daryl) Bends, Connie (Harold) Stone, Jr and Nephew Henry Pattyn and many Cousins.
