John J. Hines Jr.

John J. Hines Jr., a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 18th, 2025. A longtime resident of Millville, NJ, John was born in Camp Lejeune, NC, and spent his life dedicated to his family, work, and passions.
John is survived by his loving wife, Tracy Hines (nee Sheppard), and his cherished daughters, Ashley and Caitlin Hines. He also leaves behind his father, John J. Hines Sr. (Judy), and his brother, Timothy Hines (Tina). John's loyal companion, his dog Daisy, will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his mother, Joann (nee Schwegel).
For the past 12 years, John worked as a concrete plant manager at Northeast Precast in Vineland, NJ. He was an honorable man who embodied the NEP spirit in countless ways. His attitude, willingness, understanding, and compassionate heart were unmatched. John's quiet demeanor and his ability to convey profound meaning with carefully chosen words will long be remembered by all who knew him.
Outside of work, John found joy in skeet shooting at Cedar Creek Sporting Clays and deer hunting, activities that brought him peace and camaraderie.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during a visitation on Thursday, March 27th, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Christy Funeral Home, located at 11 West Broad St., Millville, NJ. Memories of John and condolences for his family may be shared on his tribute wall, allowing those who knew him to celebrate his life and legacy.
