John Wayne Hudson

ABBEVILLE, ALABAMA...John Wayne Hudson, a resident of Abbeville, passed away early Monday evening, January 12, 2026, in a Dothan hospital. He was 60. There are no funeral or memorial services planned at this time. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements. John Wayne Hudson was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, son of the late Roy Marshall Hudson, Sr. and Mary Linda Boston Dollarhide. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged after ten years service. John formerly lived in Oklahoma, Arkansas and Iowa before moving to Abbeville in 2016. He was formerly employed as a landscape laborer and in the restaurant business. Survivors include his girlfriend, Terrie Pettis, Abbeville; his daughters, Brianna, April and Haley; his sons, Zachery Groves (Keara), Springfield, MO; and Matt Gentry, Cushing, OK; a sister, Tina Eason, and a brother, Roy Lane Hudson; several grandchildren.
