John Hughes Obituary
Age 95, formerly of Mount Washington. Passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, November 8, 2023. Beloved Husband of the late Fern L. (Stevens) Hughes. Loving Father of Jacqueline (James) Marsico and Thomas (Eileen) Lally. Cherished Pap of Jessica (Fiance’ Dan Merkel) Marisco, Heather (Nelson) Kirksey and Colleen Lally. Jack is survived by Numerous Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren. Beloved Brother of the late Raymond, James and Thomas Hughes. Also survived by many Nieces and Nephews. Jack was a Mailer for the Pittsburgh Post Gazette and retired after 54 years of employment. He served in the US Army and loved to bowl in the Sun Dodgers League at Noble Manor Lanes. Family and Friends welcome Saturday 2-7 pm WM. SLATER & SONS INC. (412-381-3345) 301 Virgina Ave., Mt. Washington 15211 where a blessing service will be held Saturday at 7:00 pm. Burial will be private to the family.
