John W. Hurst Jr.

1939 - 2023

John W. Hurst Jr., 84, of Linden, Mich., passed away Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2023, at his home. Private services will be held at a later date. Those desiring may make contributions to Linden Presbyterian Church or Adopt-A-Pet of Fenton. John was born Sept. 6, 1939, in Pittsburgh, the son of John Wade and Mary Ellen (Barnes) Hurst. He married Anna Marie Sansone on Oct. 19, 1963, in McDonald, Pa. John retired from PPG after 42 years of service in sales and quality assurance. He was a very giving person and enjoyed volunteering at his church and in the community. He loved his family, golfing and his cats. He is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Anna Marie; children, John W. Hurst III, Debbie Hurst and Jimmy Hurst; and grandchildren, Conor, Rory and Holden McKelvey, Jack and Evan Hurst.
