John T. Jordan Sr.

John T Jordan Sr. of Salisbury, Maryland, formerly of Baltimore and Kingsville, Maryland died on November 16th. He was 92.

John was a graduate of Loyola College and a member of the Army ROTC. After college, he served in the Army at a M.A.S.H. hospital in Korea. After Korea, he served in the Air Force Reserves rising to the rank of Colonel.

John then went on to graduate from the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy. He had a rewarding career retiring as Director of Pharmacy at the Baltimore VA hospital.

John met his wife Joan (nee Custer) at a Catholic Alumni Club event. They were married for 59 years. John and Joan traveled the world accompanied many times by a group of friends. He spent his free time golfing, playing tennis, deep-sea fishing, and working in the garden. In his recent years, John enjoyed watching his two grandsons grow up and being a part of their lives and activities. He also enjoyed lunches with the Tony Tank Village ROMEOS.

He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Paul, sister-in-law Delores, sister Elaine Kasper, brother-in-law Karl Kasper and a special aunt Margaret Kellinger.

His family was always first place in his heart and his love was felt by all. He leaves behind his loving wife Joan, daughter Jennifer, son John and his wife Susan, and grandsons Noah and Benjamin. He also leaves many treasured cousins and a special niece Christine and her sister Paula.

The family deeply appreciates the support of Coastal Hospice at the Lake.

A memorial service to honor the legacy of John will be held Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Holloway Funeral Home, 501 Snow Hill Road, Salisbury, MD 21804. A public visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. with a service to follow immediately after.
