John R."KAZ" Kazmierczak, of Worcester, died on Sunday September 8, 2013, surrounded by his family in St. Vincent Hospital, 123 Summer St., Worcester. He is survived by his sons, Justin Kazmierczak and his wife Karen, Jason Kazmierczak of Worcester; grandchildren, Marina and Nicholas Kazmierczak; his sister Theresa Wyse and her husband Walter, all of Worcester; his nephews, Shawn Wyse and his wife Rosa and their two children Lauren and Julia; Brian Wyse and his wife Laurie and their son, Nathan Kubilus, Uncle Fred Potenti, and several cousins and good friends. He is predeceased by his brother, Mark S. Kazmierczak. A lifelong Worcester resident, he was born a son of John and Lena (Potenti) Kazmierczak. Mr. Kazmierczak worked as a member of the Clark University Police Department for 38 years. He and his two sons were also entrepreneurs having established and owned local businesses. John was always willing to give anyone a helping hand, but would never ask for help himself. Delighted with his family, he worked hard, enjoyed his time with his family, and lived a good life. He was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan. At various times in his life, he enjoyed candlepin Bowling, softball, and most of all Golf. He was most happy when working with his hands and building something out of wood. The funeral will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2013 from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., with a Mass at 10:30 AM in St. Stephen Church, 357 Grafton St. Burial will be in St. Johns Cemetery.
