John R. Kelley

of S. Weymouth passed away September 21st at home surrounded by his loving family. Beloved and devoted husband of 56 years of Margaret A. (Sweeney). Father of Peggy Ann and her husband Donny Lee, Darlene and her husband Michael Devlin, Michelle and her husband Dave Taylor and Barbie and her husband Tommy Mulrey and the late Ronny Kelley. Brother of Barbara Holland of FL. Also survived by 13 grandchildren, (including his special Doobie Kristie Taylor), 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mr Kelley devoted his life to his family, while building a successful neighborhood business in Southie, Kelley's Frostie Village, and was loved by all for his famous Kelley's Special steak and cheese sub. His warm hearted ways shined bright when giving back to his brothers in arms, the Southie community members, and always having a soft spot for the special kids of South Boston. Funeral Mass at St. Brigid Parish S. Boston Monday morning at 11:00. Visiting hours at the Alfred D. Thomas Funeral Home 326 Granite Ave Milton Sunday from 4-7 pm. Burial Blue Hill Cemetery.
