John F. Kilroy

KILROY, John F. 89, of Westwood, formerly West Roxbury and Jamaica Plain, died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on October 30, 2025. Beloved husband of the late Anne â??Nancyâ?� Kilroy (nee Slyne). Loving father of Maryanne Fitzgerald and her husband Tony Deodato of Westwood, John F. Kilroy, Jr., and Patricia Burke and her husband Fred of Hudson NH. Treasured Papa of Matthew, Sean, Ryan, Danny and Stacey. Cherished brother of MaryEllen Horgan. Dear father-in-law to Greg Fitzgerald of Mansfield. He also leaves behind many dear nieces and nephews. Now reunited with his favorite canine companions Brandi and Clancy.

John â??Jackâ?� was a proud and hard working milk man and dairy department manager for his entire career, first with First National and later with Beacon Super Market.

He was a lifelong and diehard Boston sports fan; but his heart beat faster for his Red Sox, and no one knew more about them than our Papa.

Visiting Hours at the William J. Gormley Funeral Home, 2055 Centre St. West Roxbury on Monday, November 3rd from 4-8pm. Funeral from the funeral home on Tuesday, November 4th at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in Holy Name Church at 10am. Relatives and friends invited. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.
