John Paul Klotzbach, affectionately known as JP, a dedicated veteran, skilled craftsman, and beloved member of his community, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 19, 2025, at the Genesee Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation, Batavia NY. He was 76 years old, just shy of his birthday, he was born October 25, 1949.

After graduating high school, JP promptly answered the call to serve his country where he served as a Machinist Mate with rank of Ensign 3 rd class from 1968-1972 and continued his service by serving in the Army National Guard from 1979-1984 and then served in the Army Reserves from 1985-1989 retiring as a First Lieutenant. His military career exemplified his courage, discipline, and commitment. After retiring from the military, John transitioned his passion for precision and service into a remarkable civilian career. John initially channeled his talents into boat building, crafting vessels with meticulous care and craftsmanship while raising and breeding Cocker Spaniels. His love for creating with his hands led him to expand his skills into home construction, where he built and repaired houses that stood as testaments to his dedication and attention to detail. Later in life, John became a skilled mason, leaving a legacy of beautifully crafted stonework that enriched his community. JP was known for his strong character, generosity, and unwavering commitment to his craftmanship. His legacy lives on through the countless lives he touched with his kindness, hard work, and dedication.

JP is survived by his daughter, Leandra Klotzbach of Florida, his brothers, Dayton Klotzbach of Virginia and Darrell (Vicky) Klotzbach of Medina, NY; and many nieces and nephews, who will forever cherish his memory. Predeceased by his parents John Peter Klotzbach, Jr. and Mary (VanDruff) Klotzbach.

A private graveside service will be held at the Western NY National Cemetery in Corfu, NY, with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in JP's name to the Orleans County Joint Veterans Council, 13996 Rt.31W, Albion, NY 14411.

Rest in peace, John P. Klotzbach, a true builder of both structures and memories.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Bogan & Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St. Medina, NY 14103. Please light a candle or share a memory of JP at www.bogantuttlefunerals.com
