Earlier today
Peggy, although its been many many years, I remember the fun times we had when we would double date. You and John and Mike Roberts and myself. To this day if I see a '57 Chevy, I think of John and how proud he was of that car! I'm sorry for the loss of your soul mate! May you be blessed with comfort and peace and the knowledge of being with him again.

At a hard time in Peggy and John's life while living in Riverton , I was privileged to Serve as their Bishop, through much fasting and prayer with the family they got through this serious medical condition . John was a terrific son of our heavenly father and had a tremendous Testimony. I will always be grateful for John and Peggys great Examples ,and Love they demonstrated to Rhonda and I ,I will never forget their Love of the Savior ,and willingness to Serve ,I will not beable to attend the Funeral because of medical reasons I am struggling with at present ,but may they Always
know of my Love for both of you .

I wanted to take a minute and reach out to let you know how much your The John and Peggy Knaphus family meant to me during my growing years. I have so many fond memories of sleepovers, hide and seek, running up and down the stairs in the back yard of Dimple dell, playing hair and make up with Heidi and Geri during sleepovers, I remember Uncle John playing with us, movie nights in the theater room in the Oakley house. Just so many memories that mad the more difficult parts of our childhood a little bit better. What stands out the most to me however is the overall sense of compassion and care of a big brother rallying around his baby sister during her most challenging moment in life. I will forever be grateful with how Uncle John and Aunt Peggy didn't hesitate to be there and support our family in the ways needed. I am indeed very sad to hear of Uncle John's passing and I hope that there are small, tender mercies that make the pain of losing your father a little less painful.

I only knew Grandpa Knaphus for 6 years, but in that time I learned how deeply he loved and cared for his family. He was so strong and so eager to help wherever he could. We´ll miss him
