John was my best friend. He was my supervisor at Mare Island Naval Shipyard when I was hired after getting out of the Navy. We became great friends and bowled in the Mare island league, joined the ELKS Lodge and the MOOSE lodge and were members of the ELKS RV club. I am sorry to hear of his passing and will miss him. May his family remember the good times.

We are so sorry to learn of Jack's passing. We always enjoyed conversations in our neighborhood about the great sport he so loved, abalone diving. My husband and brother shared the same love of the ocean and the challenges of the sport. Jack was a master on the subject of the great catch! We shall miss him and those great stories!
