Mr. John Joseph Kurek

John J. Kurek, age 78, of Parma, Ohio; beloved husband of the late Lorraine G. Kurek (nee Lane) who passed away in February 2013; loving father of Charley F. Lyke, Jr. (Christina), Timothy L. Lyke (Jessica), and Melissa M. Lyke; dear grandfather of Amanda Lyke, Brandon Lyke, Travis Lyke, Angel Rodriguez, and Deanna Rodriguez, and great-grandfather of Asher Lyke. John was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, having served from January 1959 to July 1963. He was retired following 37 years as a member of U.A.W. Local 1005 in Parma. John enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, and traveling. He peacefully passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2020 at the Northwestern Healthcare Center in Berea, Ohio.
