Johnny was an artist. His brushes were hammers and saws, his canvasses were the homes we live in, and every morning he would go to work and create warm, comfortable spaces to welcome us. And in the afternoon, he would pack his tools and go home, where he would pick up his guitar.
And once again, he would begin to create.
I spent many happy years living in one of Johnnys creations, and I enjoyed the privilege of supplying background noise for Johnnys guitar and voice, but by far the greatest of Johnnys gifts to me was that of his friendship, because no friend of Johnnys would ever be alone in life again.
Peace to you, Johnny, and know that the music will never be the same again
