John Lawson Obituary
John loved swimming, bowling, wrestling and enjoyed attending dances.
He was an all-star athlete and a medalist while participating in the Special Olympics.
John was the beloved son of Mary F. (Nye) Smelcer of Holbrook and the late John F. Lawson, Sr. and the late Robert Smelcer. He is the devoted brother of Charles Lawson of Northbridge, Tina Lawson of Holbrook, Laurie Underwood of Rockland and Edward Smelcer of Braintree. John is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and two great nephews and one great niece.
Relatives and Friends are cordially invited to attend a celebration of John's life which will be held at 90 Linden Street, Whitman, MA 02382 on Saturday, February 7, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 5:00pm.
In lieu of flowers donations in John's memory may be sent to Mary Smelcer,11 Manor Road, Holbrook, MA 02343.
