We share the news of the passing of John Irvin LeBlanc, 82, a loved member of our family and a proud United States Army veteran who served in the Vietnam War. While stationed in Korea during his service, John met his beloved wife Yong, a moment that became one of the greatest blessings of his life. John passed away peacefully on December 1, 2025 surrounded by his family.
John was born on July 28, 1943 in Port Barre, Louisiana. He answered the call to serve his country with dedication, and the experiences he gained both challenges and meaningful connections shaped him in lasting ways. He carried the qualities he learned through service strength, humility, and compassion into every part of his life.
After returning home, John centered his life around family, hard work, and kindness. He will be remembered for his steady presence, his gentle nature, and the warmth he brought to the people around him.
John is survived by his wife Yong LeBlanc; his children Lois LeBlanc Humphreys (Gene), J. Larry LeBlanc (Kim), and Anthony "Tony" LeBlanc (Angelle); his grandchildren Brianna Lafleur (Chase), Blaire Miller (James), Jeremy Humphreys, Rachel Humphreys, Joseph LeBlanc (Susannah), Megan LeBlanc (Josh), Carlie Pierce, Christian LeBlanc (Phoenix), and Camryn Dixon (Jaython); his many great grandchildren; his brother Harvey LeBlanc (Sandra); and his sister Patricia Bennett (Ray).
